About Vanguard Australian Shares Index ETF
Vanguard Australian Shares Index EFT (ASX: VAS) is an exchange-traded fund (EFT) that gives investors exposure to the 300 shares listed on the S&P/ASX 300 Index.
Many ETFs track the ASX 200, but only VAS mirrors the ASX 300.
It offers potential long-term capital growth along with dividend income and franking credits.
Operating under the Vanguard Group, the fund was admitted to the Australian Stock Exchange in 2009 and has delivered an average return of 6.83% per annum in the five years to September 2022.

Mr Shrimski is the Managing Director of Vanguard Australia. In this role, Daniel is responsible for all aspects of the management, distribution, and operation of Vanguard's Australian business. Daniel joined Vanguard Australia in 2011 as the company's Chief Financial Officer. He moved to the U.S. in January 2017 to become the divisional CFO of the U.S. Retail Investor Group, which comprises over $US2 trillion in AUM and more than 7 million retail investors. Most recently, he was CFO of Vanguard's International business and a member of the International Leadership Team. Daniel has a wealth of financial services experience in both Australia and the U.S. Prior to Vanguard, he spent 11 years at GE across Australia, the U.S. and the Netherlands where, amongst other roles, he was a Finance Director within GE Capital Australia's consumer finance division.

Mr Bendl is a Principal and Vanguard's Funds CFO and Chief Accounting Officer responsible for leading the enterprise treasury, fund and corporate accounting, financial reporting and policy as well as our internal controls over financial reporting program. Mr Bendl joined Vanguard in December 2016 and was previously an audit partner at KPMG in New York City. During his 24-year career at KPMG, he served as an audit partner on asset management, banking, capital markets, and insurance clients. While at KPMG, Mr. Bendl also served a two year international assignment in Prague, Czech Republic.

Mr Jacques is the Head of Risk Management at Vanguard Australia and a member of the executive leadership team. In this role, Curt is responsible for overseeing and enhancing Vanguard's risk capability to support a continued focus on serving individual investors and their advisors. Curt has spent the majority of his nearly 20 year career in risk roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and most recently at Macquarie Group. At Macquarie, Curt was responsible for leading a risk transformation program to enhance risk frameworks and systems across all lines of defence. During his time at PwC, Curt worked with asset managers and global banks to enhance their risk programs and frameworks.

Ms Petersen is Chief Information Officer, International Division for Vanguard. In this role, Kim is responsible for the delivery of technology solutions for Vanguard's international businesses, as well as IT governance, innovation, and technology strategy. Prior to commencing this role in September 2021, Kim was CIO, Asia Pacific for Vanguard Australia. Kim has over 20 years of Information Technology experience in roles held across the automotive industry. Before joining Vanguard, Kim was IT Infrastructure and Operations Manager at Jetstar Australia where she led the teams in charge of end user computing, service management, data centre and cloud, networks, and cyber security operations.
