Mr Callaghan was Managing Director of ASX-listed coal mining company based in Sydney, Riversdale Mining Limited. He previously held a range of positions within Rio Tinto Plc and Xstrata Plc, with a focus on the copper industry that included working with several copper mining and processing operations around the world. This included a year's secondment to the management team of Escondida Copper in Chile. He has experience in the commercial development of mining businesses focused on commodities ranging from base metals to coal. In addition, he is the former Director of Riversdale Mining Limited (June 2004 to August 2006).

Mr Squire has senior executive level experience with some of mining houses, including over 30 years' experience within the Rio Tinto group of companies. After graduating from Oxford University, he joined The Rio Tinto Zinc Corporation Ltd in London in 1970, where he worked initially with Australian Mining and Smelting Europe Ltd (AM & S), a newly formed company comprising Rio Tinto's Broken Hill mines with their smelters in Europe. He became a director of AM & S Europe in 1978. In 1982, he joined BP Minerals with responsibility for marketing BP's metal and mineral assets. Following this, with the acquisition of BP Minerals in 1989, he re-joined Rio Tinto Plc, subsequently becoming Head of the Commercial Department and later Managing Director of Rio Tinto Marketing Services Ltd. He has international experience of the mining industry and of commodities. He has been a board member of various Rio Tinto subsidiary companies including Rio Tinto do Brasil, Norzink, Zinkgruvan, Eurallumina and Rio Tinto Aluminium. He has also served as a Board member of the International Copper Association (New York) and as Deputy Chairman of the European Copper Institute (Brussels).

Mr. Hick, a Canadian citizen and resident of Toronto, brings to the Board a wealth of corporate and executive management experience from a long and distinguished career that included senior executive roles with Placer Dome Inc., serving as President and then Vice Chairman of TVX Gold Inc, and then as CEO and Vice Chairman of Rio Narcea Gold Mines Inc. Mr Hick?s current public company directorships reflect his standing in the North American mining industry. Dr Chistopher Hartley recently retired from BHPBilliton after a 30 year career that included operational, research, strategic planning, business development, project development and operational improvement roles working across a wide variety of commodities in several locations around the world. Dr Hartley has experience of the copper industry in Chile, and most recently served as Global Practice Leader - Processing within BHPBilliton, a role in which Dr Hartley worked with operations around the world to identify and prioritise projects to improve the performance of their businesses.
