    About Origin Energy Ltd

    From electricity and natural gas to solar and LPG, Origin Energy Ltd (ASX: ORG) is a leading provider of energy to homes and businesses throughout Australia. Origin's key operating segments include exploration and production, generation, renewable energy and selling energy.

    Origin has a rich heritage in energy exploration, production, power generation and retailing. The company is headquartered in Sydney and has offices, generation sites, exploration acreages and production facilities across Australia, Papua New Guinea, and the South Pacific.

    The company was incorporated in NSW in 1946 as Bitumen & Oil Refineries (Australia) Ltd, before its name changed to Boral Limited in November 1964. 

    Origin Energy was formed in 2000, as a result of a demerger of Boral. Origin is now one of the largest-ranked companies on the ASX.

He was appointed President in 2011 and Chief Executive Officer in 2017.
