    About Megaport Ltd

    Megaport Ltd (ASX: MP1) is a software-defined network (SDN) service provider that allows customers to connect between around 860 data centres globally.

    The majority of its customer connections are to major cloud service providers, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. Megaport also enables customers to connect between their own equipment in different locations and to internet exchanges. The company touts its flexibility in allowing its customers to connect to multiple applications and geographic locations almost instantaneously without the need for long-term contracts. 

    The company is divided into three segments: the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe/the Middle East/Africa.

In this role, he transformed the go-to-market strategy, scaling the team from 150 to nearly 400, expanding into new countries, and growing annual recurring revenue by 2.4 times. Previously, Michael spearheaded multiple acquisitions as Cisco's World-Wide Head of Sales based in California, USA. Prior to this, he led Cisco sales in Queensland, the Northern Territory and Papua New Guinea and, before that, led Cisco sales to Australia's financial services customers.
