Mr Hill is the founder of Michael Hill, and his leadership has been the foundation for the Company's international expansion. Sir Michael had 23 years of jewelry retailing experience before establishing Michael Hill in 1979, which then listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange in 1987. Sir Michael led the Group as Chairman from 1987 until 2015 and was appointed a Director of the Company on 9 June 2016, having served as Director of Michael Hill's listed entity since its initial listing on the New Zealand Stock Exchange. Sir Michael was appointed Founder President of the New Zealand listed entity in 2015 in recognition of his special connection with Michael Hill for over 35 years.

Mr Whittle has brand, data, technology, omni-channel retail and digital transformation experience. He is a Founder of Lexer, a global software company helping brands and retailers. Previously, Dave spent 10 years with global advertising group M&C Saatchi in several local and international leadership roles, culminating in three years as Managing Director in Australia.

Mr Slingsby has Board governance, consulting and advisory experience across a range of industry sectors including global retail. Andrea brings expertise in both domestic and international growth and sustainable scaling of Australian brands such as Flight Centre and Blackmores. Andreas previous executive roles with the Company include Interim Chief People Office from August 2018 to December 2018 and Chief Operating Officer from January 2019 to January 2021. Andrea is currently the director of Prime Financial Group (ASX: PFG).

Ms Hill was appointed a Director of the Company on 9 June 2016 and has served as Director of Michael Hill's listed entity since 22 February 2007. She served as Deputy Chair of the Group from 2011 until 2015 when she was appointed Chair. Emma stepped down from the Chair role in June 2021. Emma has over 30 years' experience with subsidiaries of the Company commencing on the shop floor in Whangarei, New Zealand. She held several management positions in the Australian company before leading the expansion of the Group into Canada as Retail General Manager in 2002. She is Chair of People Development Committee.

Mr Smith was appointed a Director of the Company upon incorporation on 24 February 2016 and has served as Director of Michael Hill's listed entity since 2 November 2012. Gary has had Director experience across a range of boards and tourism related industry bodies. He is Chairman of Flight Centre Travel Group Ltd and is a member of their Audit and Remuneration sub-committees. He is Chair of Risk Committee and Member of People Development Committee.

Mr Fyfe served as CEO of Air New Zealand between 2005 and 2012, a period that saw a resurgence in Air New Zealand to become one of the recognized and awarded airlines in the world and one of the best performers in an industry. Prior to and after his time at Air New Zealand, Rob has gained general management and board experience in various retail businesses operating in New Zealand, Australia and Great Britain, across sectors including retail banking, telecommunications, pay television, sport, manufacturing and outdoor apparel. He is Member of Risk & People Development Committee.

Mr Batten started her professional career at law firm Russell McVeagh in contract, IP, and technology law before moving to New York and joining the founding team of Massive Incorporated, a network for advertising in video games which helped pioneer as a media buy. Massive Incorporated was sold to Microsoft in 2006, where Claudia spent three years scaling the in-game network. Claudia has been recognised for her work supporting the technology and start up scene in New Zealand and spent three years running North American operations for New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE), supporting disruptive thinking for the growth of NZ exports in North America. Claudia is also a Director of Air New Zealand Limited (NZX: AIR), Vista Group International Limited (ASX: VGL) and is Chair of Serko Limited (ASX: SKO).
