About Charter Hall Retail REIT

Charter Hall Retail Retail REIT (ASX: CQR) is a real estate investment trust that owns and manages a portfolio of convenience-focused retail properties. These include supermarket-anchored neighbourhood and subregional shopping centres, service stations, and some retail logistics properties.

The REIT is managed by listed, diversified fund manager Charter Hall Group (ASX:CHC) which owns a minority stake in Charter Hall Retail REIT. It also frequently partners with it on acquisitions and developments.

More than half of the trust's rental income comes from major tenants including Woolworths, Coles, Wesfarmers, Aldi, Ampol, and BP. The portfolio is more seasoned than some convenience rivals, with approximately 80% of its supermarket tenants at or near thresholds for paying turnover-linked rent.
