    About BHP Group Ltd

    Mining and metals giant BHP Group Ltd (ASX: BHP) is a diversified natural resources company that is among the world’s top producers of major commodities including iron ore, copper, and metallurgical coal.

    On 1 June 2022, BHP sold its substantial oil and gas assets to Woodside Energy Group Ltd (ASX: WDS). 

    Formerly BHP Billiton Limited, BHP is a multinational company. Until 2022, it was dual-listed on both the ASX and the London Stock Exchange before unifying its operations and trading solely on the ASX.

    The company is headquartered in Melbourne, Australia and is one of the largest listed companies on the ASX. Like other ASX resource stocks, the BHP share price can fluctuate widely in response to commodity pricing and supply/demand.
