About Arena REIT
Arena REIT (ASX: ARF) is one of the largest childcare centre-focused real estate investment trusts, or REITs, in Australia. The trust owns a portfolio of 260 long day care centres for children aged under five in Australia. It also owns 11 healthcare centres. The childcare centres represent 89% of its portfolio by value. Around one-third of Arena's properties are in Queensland although all Australian states are represented as well as the Northern Territory.
The trust has a WALE (weighted average lease expiry) of around 20 years with a diversified tenant base. Australia's childcare and healthcare sectors both receive significant government funding, providing some predictability and stability to the trust's medium and long-term earnings outlook.
