    About AMP Ltd

AMP Ltd (ASX: AMP) is a diversified financial services company that has been operating for more than 170 years. The company began in 1849 as the Australian Mutual Provident Society, offering life insurance. Today, AMP provides a range of financial services, including superannuation, life insurance, investment management, banking products, and financial advice to both retail and corporate clients.

AMP demutualised in 1998 to list on the ASX. Although AMP shares today sit comfortably within the S&P/ASX 200 Index (ASX: XJO), the AMP share price has struggled in the wake of the Financial Services Royal Commission which presented its final report in February 2019. In 2022, the financial services company offloaded its Collimate Capital business as part of a new strategic path to restore its standing as a trusted company.
