About Avz Minerals
AVZ Minerals Ltd (ASX: AVZ) is an Australian-based mineral exploration company.
Its primary focus is on developing the Manono Project, potentially one of the world's largest lithium-rich LCT (lithium, caesium, tantalum) pegmatite deposits. Manono is located in the south of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in central Africa.
The Project also covers the historic Manono Mine, a pegmatite deposit mined for its tin content from 1919 to 1982.
The company is headquartered in Perth, Western Australia.
AVZ was delisted from the ASX on Monday, 13 May 2024.

Mr Johnston has over 30 years' experience in Australia, the Middle East, Romania, Malaysia and the DRC. He worked on gold projects before joining Rio Tinto and then with Midwest Corporation where he was the Principal Geologist during its sale to Sinosteel Corporation. Following this, Mr Johnston was a founding director of Goldstar Resources and then Ferrowest Limited where he was Technical Director for nine years and contributed to the completion of the Feasibility Study for the Yalgoo Pig Iron Project. His experience is focused on the transition between orebody delineation and mine opening and has worked on over five projects that resulted in new mines being commissioned.

Mr Ferguson has over 37 years of experience having worked in senior management positions for the past 27 years in a variety of locations. Dr Tungaraza has 40 years of domestic and international industry experience. She has managed projects in Australia and Africa and has delivered projects across these regions within the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. She also has experience and knowledge of international trade between Australia and Africa as the chair of the Australian Governments Advisory Group on Australia-Africa Relations (AGAAR) advising the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade on Australias engagement with the countries of Africa to enhance commercial, investment and people-to-people relations for the mutual benefit of the two Continents. In 2012, she was inducted in the Western Australia Womens Hall of Fame. Previously, Dr Tungaraza was a director and co-founder of the East Africa Oil and Gas company promoting and facilitating Australias investment in Africa. She has held academic and management positions with several organisations including the University of Dar-Es-Salaam in Tanzania, Murdoch University in Western Australia, and Flinders University in South Australia. She is the founding director of Australia-Africa Trade and Cultural Expo and served on various Federal and State Ministerial Advisory Boards.
