The S&P/ASX 200 Index (ASX: XJO) may be having a soft session on Tuesday, but that hasn't stopped some shares from pushing higher.
In fact, two ASX 200 shares have even managed to scale to new all-time highs. They are as follows:
Brickworks Limited (ASX: BKW)
The Brickworks share price has hit a new record high of $28.19 this afternoon.
Investors appear to believe that the building products and property development company will deliver a strong full-year result for FY 2023 later this month.
This is largely due to the success of the company's partnership with Goodman Group (ASX: GMG), which has offset a subdued performance from its building products segment.
A recent note out of Bell Potter reveals that its analysts have a buy rating and a $29 price target on this ASX 200 share. This appears to indicate that its analysts believe Brickworks' shares are close to peaking now.
Carsales.Com Ltd (ASX: CAR)
The Carsales share price has climbed to a new record high of $30.04 today.
Investors have been buying this ASX 200 auto listings share this week following the release of presentations relating to its US (Trader Interactive) and South American (Webmotors) businesses.
Both presentations spoke positively about current trading conditions and their respective outlooks. Commenting on its US presentation, Goldman Sachs said:
Overall we have come away more positive on both the short and medium term growth outlooks for Trader Interactive and Carsales, who we believe will continue delivering 'good' earnings growth through the cycle.
However, the broker believes Carsales' shares are now fully valued and has put a neutral rating and $29 price target on them. It notes that "valuations relatively full vs. historical levels (and vs. peers)."
