Today, the S&P/ASX 200 Index (ASX: XJO) shaved a bit off the top. The benchmark index finished 0.55% lower to 7,485.7 points. BHP Group Ltd (ASX: BHP) weighed on the Aussie index as it went ex-dividend today.
