Australia's S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO)(ASX: XJO) and ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) indices finished lower on Friday.

Here's a short recap of the Australian market:

  • S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO) (ASX: XJO) lower 0.38% to 7,022.60
  • ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) lower 0.38% to 7,121.40
  • AUD/USD at US 67 cents
  • Gold at US$1,566.36 an ounce
  • Brent Oil at US$55.10 a barrel

One of the best-performing ASX 200 shares today was gold miner Gold Road Resources Ltd (ASX: GOR), its share price jumped 9.3%.

After yesterday's report, the Pinnacle Investment Management Group Ltd (ASX: PNI) share price rose by another 3.4%.

REA Group Limited (ASX: REA) reported its half-year result to 31 December 2019, despite a profit fall its share price ended 3.1% higher.

The Melco Resorts – CPH transaction update didn't move the Crown Resorts Ltd (ASX: CWN) share price, it ended flat.

The share price of News Corp (ASX: NWS) rose 3.2% after releasing its FY20 second quarter earnings update.

Sigma Healthcare Ltd (ASX: SIG) gave a market update today and the share price rose almost 1%.

The share price of Mirvac Group (ASX: MGR) rose 1.5% after announcing it would acquire a location.

Finally, the share price of Flight Centre Travel Group Ltd (ASX: FLT) fell 2.4% after giving an update about its trading and the coronavirus.
