ALL ORDINARIES finishes higher Wednesday: 8 ASX shares you missed

The S&P/ASX 200 (Index:^AXJO)(ASX:XJO) and ALL ORDINARIES (Index:^AXAO) (ASX:XAO) finished up on Wednesday, here are 8 ASX shares you missed.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO)(ASX: XJO) and ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) indices finished higher on Wednesday.

Here's a short recap of the Australian market:

  • S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO) (ASX: XJO) higher 0.20% to 6.697.80
  • ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) higher 0.21% to 6,817.00
  • AUD/USD at US 70 cents
  • Gold at US$1,519.33 an ounce
  • Brent Oil at US$66.23 a barrel

One of the best-performing ASX 200 shares today was the lithium miner Pilbara Minerals Ltd (ASX: PLS), its share price has gone up 9.6%.

Fellow lithium miner Orocobre Limited (ASX: ORE) also had a strong day, its share price increased by 6.4%.

The start of 2020 has begun with a bang for buy now, pay later business Afterpay Touch Group Ltd (ASX: APT), the share price went up 4.75%.

The share price of Polynovo Ltd (ASX: PNV) fell 5.8%, making it the worst performer in the ASX 200.

News of a further strengthening of Australian house prices in December 2019 sent the REA Group Limited (ASX: REA) share price up 1.8%.

However, the Westpac Banking Corp (ASX: WBC) share price fell 0.1% despite the rising house prices.

The share price of Independence Group NL (ASX: IGO) dropped around 1% after making an announcement regarding its withdrawn takeover offer.

Finally, the share price of Lendlease Group (ASX: LLC) rose by more than 2% today.
