The share price of Vocus Group Ltd (ASX: VOC) share price rose 8.9% after receiving a takeover offer. The interested bidder is AGL Energy Ltd (ASX: AGL), but its share price fell by 7.2% in reaction to the news.
Casino business Star Entertainment Group Ltd (ASX: SGR) suffered a 15.75% decline of its share price after a disappointing business update was released to the market.
Gold miners were punished as a group with the share market growing today. The worst decline was the Regis Resources Limited (ASX: RRL) share price which dropped 4.4%.
The Woodside Petroleum Limited (ASX: WPL) share price rose 1.5%, the business updated the market about its Pluto LNG.
The share price of Costa Group Holdings Ltd (ASX: CGC) rose 6.5% after some insider buying.
Finally, the Link Administration Holdings Ltd (ASX: LNK) share price fell a further 0.5% due to providing an update on the sale of its corporate and private clients business.
