Australia's S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO)(ASX: XJO) and ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) indices finished higher on Wednesday.

Here's a short recap of the Australian market:

  • S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO) (ASX: XJO) higher 0.03% to 6,223.50
  • ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) higher 0.02% to 6,316.50
  • AUD/USD at US 71 cents
  • Gold at US$1,304.30 an ounce
  • Brent Oil at US$70.83 a barrel

The best-performing ASX 200 share today was the Seven West Media Ltd (ASX: SWM) share price after the TV media business announced the sale of its Yahoo7 stake.

The Crown Resorts Ltd (ASX: CWN) share price dropped around 9% after Wynn decided to end its takeover discussions because the talks became known by the media.

The Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd. (ASX: DMP) share price is up 1.6% after announcing it was heading into the Denmark market.

The share price of IOOF Holdings Limited (ASX: IFL) went up 1.9% due to acquiring the financial planning book of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Ltd (ASX: BEN), which dropped 0.6%.

The Avita Medical Ltd (ASX: AVH) share price dropped 30% today, giving up yesterday's gains.

The share price of Sims Metal Management Ltd (ASX: SGM) is down 4.1% after the metal recycling business released an investor presentation.

Finally, the share price of Webjet Limited (ASX: WEB) rose 2.4% because it announced plans for a religious travel business.
