Australia's S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO)(ASX: XJO) and ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) indices finished higher on Thursday.

Here's a short recap of the Australian market:

  • S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO) (ASX: XJO) higher 0.03% to 6,167.20
  • ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) higher 0.03% to 6,253.50
  • AUD/USD at US 71 cents
  • Gold at US$1,318.44 an ounce
  • Brent Oil at US$68.65 a barrel

The best-performing ASX 200 share today was Nufarm Limited (ASX: NUF), its share price bounced back 6.2% after yesterday's disappointment.

Pact Group Holdings Ltd (ASX: PGH) shares fell 7.8%, making it one of the worst ASX 200 performers.

The share price of Eclipx Group Ltd (ASX: ECX) dropped 12% following on from yesterday's large share price drop.

The Brickworks Limited (ASX: BKW) share price ended the day up 0.9% after the construction and property business revealed its half-year result.

Washington H. Soul Pattinson and Co. Ltd (ASX: SOL) also reported a record result and its share price increased by 0.7% in response.

Shares of Sigma Healthcare Ltd (ASX: SIG) fell 0.9% after the pharmacy business reported its result to investors.

The share price of Flight Centre Travel Group Ltd (ASX: FLT) fell 4.7% after going ex-dividend for its ordinary and special dividend.

Finally, the share price of Worleyparsons Limited (ASX: WOR) rose over 1% after getting approval from the US foreign investment committee for its large engineering acquisition.
