ALL ORDINARIES finishes lower Wednesday: 8 shares you missed

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO)(ASX: XJO) and ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) indices finished lower on Wednesday.

Here's a short recap of the Australian market:

  • S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO) (ASX: XJO) lower 0.32% to 6,165.30
  • ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) lower 0.40% to 6,251.80
  • AUD/USD at US 71 cents
  • Gold at US$1,304.87 an ounce
  • Brent Oil at US$67.63 a barrel

The best-performing ASX 200 share today was Sigma Healthcare Ltd (ASX: SIG), its share price increased by 5.7%.

The Nufarm Limited (ASX: NUF) share price plunged almost 24% today after suspending its dividend and downgrading its profit expectations in its result announcement.

Another share price to plunge on a result was Synlait Milk Ltd (ASX: SM1) which fell 14% after it reported its profit declined in the first half of FY19.

Corporate Travel Management Ltd (ASX: CTD) shares rose by more than 4% after releasing an investor presentation.

The Clinuvel Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: CUV) share price ended the day down 12.2%, although the company was down much further earlier in the day.

The share price of McMillan Shakespeare Limited (ASX: MMS) rose 3.6% after announcing will no longer be going ahead with the Eclipx Group Ltd (ASX: ECX) acquisition which plunged 56% today.

Finally, the Platinum Asset Management Ltd (ASX: PTM) share price dropped 11% with Kerr Neilson selling a sizeable portion of shares.
