Australia's S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO)(ASX: XJO) and ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) indices finished higher on Monday.

Here's a short recap of the Australian market:

  • S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO) (ASX: XJO) higher 0.25% to 6,190.50
  • ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) higher 0.30% to 6,283.60
  • AUD/USD at US 71 cents
  • Gold at US$1,299.42 an ounce
  • Brent Oil at US$66.99 a barrel

The best-performing ASX 200 share today was Fortescue Metals Group Limited (ASX: FMG), the iron ore miner rose by 5.4%.

Shares of Vocus Group Ltd (ASX: VOC) ended the day down 3.3% with the company denying media reports that it is considering a capital raising.

The Bubs Australia Ltd (ASX: BUB) share price rose 4.8% today, the infant business announced the launch of eight toddler snacks certified as organic.

The share price of REA Group Limited (ASX: REA) fell 4.4%, making it one of the worst performers in the ASX 200.

Shares of waste management business Bingo Industries Ltd (ASX: BIN) fell 4.9% – it was the ASX 200 company with the biggest drop today.

Pro Medicus Limited (ASX: PME) shares rose another 3.7% after giving the market an investor presentation.

The IOOF Holdings Limited (ASX: IFL) share price ended the day flat after a proposed class action made the news.

Finally, the share price of Hub24 Ltd (ASX: HUB) fell nearly 5% because of insider selling.
