Australia's S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO)(ASX: XJO) and ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) indices finished lower on Wednesday.

Here's a short recap of the Australian market:

  • S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO) (ASX: XJO) lower 0.17% to 6,096.50
  • ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) lower 0.14% to 6,175.80
  • AUD/USD at US 72 cents
  • Gold at US$1,342.79 an ounce
  • Brent Oil at US$66.36 a barrel

The best-performing ASX 200 share today was Corporate Travel Management Ltd (ASX: CTD) which rose 14.7% with investors extremely pleased with its result.

Shares of WiseTech Global Ltd (ASX: WTC) dropped just over 10% with the logistics software company reporting its half year result.

Seven Group Holdings Ltd (ASX: SVW) shares went up 12.2% after the conglomerate business reported to the market.

The Woolworths Group Ltd (ASX: WOW) share price dropped just over 5% reporting its result, with retail conditions currently tough.

The share price of A2 Milk Company Ltd (ASX: A2M) rocketed 10.5% thanks to another impressive report.

However, Afterpay Touch Group Ltd (ASX: APT) shares dropped 7.8% today, marking another volatile day for the buy now, pay later business.

The declared dividend got investors excited about the Fortescue Metals Group Limited (ASX: FMG) result today.

Finally, the Crown Resorts Ltd (ASX: CWN) share price fell 5.3% today because of a fall in VIP gaming earnings in its result.
