The best-performing ASX 200 share today was Saracen Mineral Holdings Limited (ASX: SAR) which rose by 4.9%.
At the other end of the share market was Challenger Ltd (ASX: CGF) which dropped 17.1% after downgrading profit expectations for FY19.
The IOOF Holdings Ltd (ASX: IFL) share price dropped another 8.2%, making it one of the worst performers in the ASX 200 today.
Gold miner Northern Star Resources Ltd (ASX: NST) shares fell 5.6% as the business warned it was facing rising costs.
The Galaxy Resources Limited (ASX: GXY) share price rose 1.4% after giving a mineral resource and ore reserve update for its Mt Cattlin operation.
Shares of natural beauty business BWX Limited (ASX: BWX) rose 8% today as investors struggle to decide what a fair price for the business is after its earlier earnings downgrade.
The National Australia Bank Ltd (ASX: NAB) share price fell 0.33% as it suffered a broker downgrade.
Finally, the Costa Group Holdings Ltd (ASX: CGC) share price was one of today's top performers, it rose by 4.3%.
