Focused on the forecast growth of the lithium-ion battery sector, emerging lithium player Argosy Minerals Limited (ASX: AGY) has released a quarterly report confirming its activities and cashflow are on track.

Argosy has a 77.5% interest in the Argentina-based Rincon Lithium Project with its pilot program reaching milestones and proving efficiency, cost effective practices, and scalable development.

Lithium miners across the sector have been performing well of late, with Altura Mining Ltd (ASX: AJM) closing up 1.4% to 34c per share yesterday. While Galaxy Resources Limited (ASX: GXY) has pushed higher recently off the back of its POSCO agreement for the sale of its Sal de Vida project for US$280 million.

Orocobre Limited (ASX: ORE) shares were down slightly yesterday but have seen rises of late likely related to solid production results released earlier this month.
