Air New Zealand Limited (ASX: AIZ) has announced its monthly investor update for April 2018 and the following were notable statistics from the report (compared to April 2017):
- April 2018 total passenger growth of 8%
- Year to date (YTD) total passenger growth of 6%
- April 2018 total revenue passenger kilometre growth of 8.2%
Passenger growth is expected to continue as additional jet services are added such as the recently announced service between Dunedin and Auckland.
Higher passenger numbers are not only good for Air New Zealand but also Auckland International Airport Limited (ASX: AIA) which is the largest airport in New Zealand and Spark New Zealand Ltd (ASX: SPK) which is used by tourists visiting the country.
