In afternoon trade the S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO) (ASX: XJO) has given back the majority of its early gains and is 0.2% higher at 5,982 points.
Four shares which haven't been able to follow the market higher today are listed below. Here's why they are ending the week in the red:
The Artemis Resources Ltd (ASX: ARV) share price has fallen 3% to 30.5 cents despite announcing that its 50:50 joint venture with Novo Resources is now live after it met its expenditure commitment. The joint venture is based in the highly prospective Karratha region of Western Australia.
The Auscann Group Holdings Ltd (ASX: AC8) share price has tumbled almost 6% to 74.5 cents. The pot stock has lost around 11% of its value this week as traders continue to take profit following a strong rally over the last month.
The Godfreys Group Ltd (ASX: GFY) share price has plunged 16% to 41.5 cents following the release of a disappointing trading update. According to the release, delays to its conversion program means that the retailer now expects its FY 2018 EBITDA to be lower by $3.5 million to $4 million. Although its shares look cheap, I would avoid it due to its high level of debt and the arrival of Amazon.
The iSentia Group Ltd (ASX: ISD) share price is down 5% to $1.20 despite there being no news out of the media monitoring company. I believe today's decline is likely to be a spot of profit taking. The company's shares rallied strongly this week after one of its directors bought 228,000 shares on market.
