The Vocus Group Ltd (ASX: VOC) share price was a big mover on Friday.
The telecommunications company's shares finished the day almost 5% higher at $2.93.
This brought its one-month return to an impressive 18%.
Why are its shares higher?
While there was no news out of Vocus or brokers notes to speak of, today's gain appears to be down to investor sentiment becoming increasingly positive following its recent investor update.
At the meeting Vocus reiterated its FY 2018 guidance and announced plans to offload its New Zealand-based consumer-internet business.
If the company can find a buyer, the proceeds of this sale are expected to be used to pay down its debt.
Furthermore, the company confirmed it has appointed Bain Corp to help implement its ongoing transformation program.
Judging by the market's reaction, investors appear to believe the worst is behind the company now.
