The Audio Pixels Holdings Ltd (ASX: AKP) share price has been in fine form on Friday.
In afternoon trade the digital speakers developer's shares are up over 4.5% to $20.70.
Why are its shares higher?
This morning Audio Pixels provided the market with an update on its integration stage.
According to the release, the company has made tangible progress pertaining to the optimisation of the speaker's dissipation layers.
These layers refer to the electro‐mechanical points of contact that suppress contact effects that management believes could play a critical role in the sound quality and reliability of the device.
The company has now received the first wafers that contain modifications to the fabrication process of the dissipation layers and will soon begin the process of measuring and characterising the wafers in an effort to select the most optimal production process for fabrication.
While this may be a positive step forward for the company, here's why one Motley Fool contributor doesn't think investors should be grabbing hold of shares just yet.
