Despite the gold index sinking lower, the Evolution Mining Ltd (ASX: EVN) share price has edged higher today following the release of its fourth-quarter update.
In late trade its shares are up almost 1% to $2.17.
How did Evolution perform in the June quarter?
During the June quarter Evolution delivered record quarterly gold production of 218,079 ounces.
This led to full-year production of 844,124 ounces, an increase of 5% year-on-year and towards the high end of its guidance range of 800,000 to 860,000 ounces.
The miner was also able to bring its costs down to the low end of its guidance. All-in sustaining costs were reduced by 11% year-on-year to A$905 (US$683) an ounce, compared to guidance of between A$900 and A$960 an ounce.
Overall this led to net mine cash flow increasing 8% on the prior corresponding period to A$461.5 million.
