The Macquarie Group Ltd (ASX: MQG) share price has fallen almost 2% to $87.21 today.
This means that if the banking giant is able to at least maintain its current pay out, investors buying its shares today can look forward to receiving a partially franked 5.4% dividend over the next 12 months.
When do you need to invest to receive it?
Macquarie shareholders received their final dividend at the start of July, after its shares went ex-dividend in the middle of May.
So the next dividend on the horizon is Macquarie's interim dividend.
Its shares traditionally go ex-dividend for this instalment towards the start of November.
Shareholders should then expect to receive it in their accounts approximately five weeks later in the middle of December.
