When it comes to dividends, there are few on the market that are bigger than the G8 Education Ltd (ASX: GEM) dividend.
If the childcare operator is able to maintain its current pay out in the future, its shareholders will receive a fully franked 6.6% dividend over the next 12 months.
When do you need to invest to receive it?
Unlike the majority of dividend shares on the local share market, G8 Education pays its dividend in quarterly instalments.
The next dividend to be paid to shareholders will be its second-quarter dividend.
But unfortunately for new investors, G8 Education's shares went ex-dividend on June 22 and shareholders will receive this 6 cents per share dividend in their bank account on Friday July 7.
Looking ahead, G8 Education's shares traditionally go ex-dividend for its third-quarter pay out mid-September, with the distribution landing in bank accounts during the first week of October.
