The Auscann Group Holdings Ltd (ASX: AC8) share price has been amongst the biggest movers on the local share market today.
In afternoon trade the medicinal cannabis company's shares are up over 4% to 37.5 cents. This is despite there being no news out of the company this week.
Today's gain means that AusCann's shares have now climbed over 87% since hitting the ASX boards at a listing price of 20 cents in February of this year.
Whilst this gain is undoubtedly a strong one, it is worth pointing out that at one stage its shares were as high as 94 cents.
Unfortunately for the unlucky investors that bought in at the top, they would be sitting on a paper loss of over 60% today.
Whether or not the company's share price will ever scale those heights again, only time will tell.
