Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX: ANZ) shares were the talk of the town today after the regional banking heavyweight reported its half-year results to the market. The ANZ share price settled 2.1% lower as investors reacted to the news.
Also in focus were shares of Woolworths Limited (ASX: WOW), which reported a strong set of third-quarter results to the market. The Woolworths share price ended 1.2% higher.
Amongst the top movers were shares of Santos Ltd (ASX: STO) and Treasury Wine Estates Ltd (ASX: TWE), rising 2.9% and 3%, respectively.
Meanwhile, further down the market, Mayne Pharma Group Ltd (ASX: MYX) and Blackmores Limited (ASX: BKL) rallied 4.5% and 3.5%, respectively.
