The local share market rebounded today, buoyed by a stronger performance by the BHP Billiton Limited (ASX: BHP) share price together with the South32 Ltd (ASX: S32) share price. The pair rose 1.1% and 3.8% respectively.

The miners were on top again after yesterday's selloff, despite another sharp drop in the iron ore price. Santos Ltd (ASX: STO) rose 1.4% as well although the oil price dropped overnight.
The gold miners mostly finished in the red with gold trading slightly lower at US$1,246 an ounce. Evolution Mining Ltd (ASX: EVN) slipped 3.2%.
Elsewhere, there was plenty of green on the market. The Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd. (ASX: DMP) share price jumped 3.4%, as did the JB Hi-Fi Limited (ASX: JBH) share price. The Sky Network Television Ltd (ASX: SKT) share price also rose 3%.
TPG Telecom Ltd (ASX: TPM) didn't fare so well, shedding 2.1% by the end of the session, but its major shareholder Washington H. Soul Pattinson and Co. Ltd (ASX: SOL) rose 4.1% after it released its latest earnings numbers.
Brickworks Limited (ASX: BKW) also released its own earnings results, although its shares only rose 0.1%.
