The QBE Insurance Group Ltd (ASX: QBE) share price gave shareholders plenty to smile about early in the session, although its shares did hand back much of its earlier gains as the session wore on. The QBE share price ended the session 2.4% higher, although the broader market wasn't so lucky.

Nanosonics Ltd. (ASX: NAN) shares received a 9% boost today, while the Corporate Travel Management Ltd (ASX: CTD) share price also soared 7.2%.
The Nextdc Ltd (ASX: NXT) share price rose 6.7% as well, while Aristocrat Leisure Limited (ASX: ALL) and Aconex Ltd (ASX: ACX) soared 5.1% and 4.5% respectively.
Online classifieds business iCar Asia Ltd (ASX: ICQ) shares lifted 18% as well after the group announced its full-year earnings results.
Elsewhere, there were plenty of losers for the day. Aged care operators Japara Healthcare Ltd (ASX: JHC) and Regis Healthcare Ltd (ASX: REG) slipped 5.9% and 4.2% and iSentia Group Ltd (ASX: ISD) shed another 3.4%.
Beverage manufacturer Coca-Cola Amatil Ltd (ASX: CCL) also slipped 3% and Orocobre Ltd (ASX: ORE) fell 2.9%.
