The S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO) (ASX: XJO) will close at 14:10pm (Sydney time) today. Although it could come under some pressure after a mostly negative session on Wall Street overnight, investors will be hopeful for further gains with the main bourse up 2% so far this week.

Here's a quick recap:

  • FTSE 100 (UK): up 0.32%
  • DAX (Germany): down 0.11%
  • CAC 40 (France): up 0.02%
  • Dow Jones (USA): down 0.12%
  • NASDAQ (USA): down 0.44%

Auckland International Airport Ltd (ASX: AIA) could receive some attention following its monthly traffic update. Its transit passengers increased by a whopping 68% in November 2016 compared to November 2015.

Retail group Shaver Shop Group Ltd (ASX: SSG) shares will likely come under pressure after it said it had experienced weaker-than-expected sales in recent weeks in key gift-giving product lines. That doesn't bode well for the company's half-year results.

That could also hurt sentiment surrounding other retailers in what is typically the most important sales period of the year.

Liquiefied Natural Gas Ltd (ASX: LNG) said its wholly owned subsidiary, Magnolia LNG, is in the process of agreeing with KSJV to extend the validity period of a current binding contract.

Mesoblast limited (ASX: MSB) announced it has entered into an equity purchase agreement with Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, which could attract some attention.

Finally, Bega Cheese Ltd (ASX: BGA) and TPG Telecom Ltd (ASX: TPM) could be back in the spotlight following their strong performances on Thursday.

Estia Health Ltd (ASX: EHE) and Slater & Gordon Limited (ASX: SGH) could also be in focus following their poor performances.
