It has been a relatively muted start to the trading week on Monday morning with the S&P/ASX 200 Index (Index: ^AXJO) (ASX: XJO) down 0.17% at 12:06 pm. The subdued start to the week follows Wall Street hitting a new intra-day high last Friday before US stocks were sold-off to end the session lower.
Sectors are mostly down. Materials have slipped slightly as the market awaits economic data from China which is due to be released later today, while industrials are down 1%. The health care sector and gold are the only gainers.
