The S&P/ASX 200 Index (Index: ^AXJO) (ASX: XJO) has posted gains of 0.91% today, bringing to a close a solid week for the market. All sectors contributed solid gains today.
Today's gains followed positive leads from Wall Street overnight which saw the Dow Jones 0.4% higher and the S&P 500 up 0.58%, despite both indices beginning their respective trading sessions deep in the red.
Locally, investors had numerous company financial reports to wade through, with Chinese inflation data and ABS lending finance data added to the mix.

- Sims Metal Management Ltd (ASX: SGM) rallied 6.8% to $10.70
- PanAust Limited (ASX: PNA) jumped 6.8% to $1.97
- Sirius Resources N.L. (ASX: SIR) gained 5.7% to $2.40
- Resolute Mining Limited (ASX: RSG) climbed 5.6% to 65.5 cents
- Mount Gibson Iron Limited (ASX: MGX) added 5.4% to $1.18
